Betrayal Of America Part 6

The MAGA White Republican Evangelicals, Trump, and the Republican Party are responsible for the greatest betrayal. The MAGAs are all in because their religious and parenting beliefs align with authoritarian leaders in government and pastors in churches who promote hatred, punishment, power, and control disguised as faith. In Betrayal Of America Part 6, I write about the MAGA and Trump betrayal.

I share my experiences and those of others to show how this type of upbringing and mindset can lead people to vote for a candidate like Trump.

Behind Authoritarian Closed Doors

Many children are raised behind closed doors and taught what they should think while attending churches with closed doors.

Here is what many children for generations have been taught: Do as I say, not as I do. A child should be seen and not heard. Spare the rod and spoil the child. It is a parenting style that teaches children from birth that someone in a position of power has the right to be mean to them and punish them. The fear breaks their will and spirit, and they obey.

As we are witnessing in real time, threats and the fear of retaliation also work on politicians in both parties and the American corporate media to control behavior and give in to Trump.

Decades of religious indoctrination combined with biased news sources, lies, and conspiracy theories are stripping our children and families of their ability to trust their values, instincts, and make informed choices. Courts at every level that fail to hold corrupt politicians and judges legally accountable and remove them only add to the mistrust.

For full disclosure, I do not belong to any religious organizations. I share a similar perspective with the Unity spiritual teachings and Native American beliefs.

Christian Conservative Indoctrination

Early one morning, I saw a YouTube thumbnail with the title “I Escaped Christian Conservative Indoctrination” by Kayse Melone.

“Indoctrination” refers to the process of teaching specific beliefs and values through repetition or manipulation, expecting a person to accept them without question.

Kayse shared: “When I was in grade school, I was taught that Liberals were my enemy, that God would send those non-believers to Hell, that the Democratic Party failed in everything it attempted.

I was taught that Liberals hated America, gay people were trying to destroy the family, climate change was a hoax, and public school teachers were brainwashing kids to become Communists.

I was expected to become a self-proclaimed Zionist and support Israel no matter the genocidal cost.

If you voted for Liberals, that was the same thing as voting for the devil.

Not having faith in God would send you to Hell.

These religious values uphold Authoritarianism in plain sight.”

The church she attended was a wealthy, polished megachurch with Broadway-level productions in Tulsa, Oklahoma. (Although Kayse did not disclose the church she left, I researched megachurches in the United States. I believe it might be the Life Church based in Oklahoma, which has an average attendance of 85,000 according to Newsweek).

From Far Right To Democrat

On YouTube, I also watched Jeni Gage, Life, Take Two! She painfully shared her religious experiences growing up.

Some of her viewers wanted to know why she was ever part of the ultra-right to begin with. Jeni answered: ” I was raised in a church community, and everybody voted that way and everybody was that way. As an adult, I was very emotionally connected to the ultra-right Republican movement and then to Trump and MAGA.

There are reasons for that buy-in, and this is embarrassing. I was just really uneducated and ignorant.

I went to a Mormon Junior College, listened to Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. Who I voted for boiled down to two things: murdering babies and letting gay people get married. The Republican party has packaged itself in abortion and gay marriage. I was brainwashed that those are the only two issues that matter.

I was deeply indoctrinated since birth and just didn’t know better. I left my religious life because the Mormon community was hate and fear all the time. I wanted to live my life in peace, love, and community with everyone.

I was a victim of domestic violence by a church-going heterosexual man who harmed me, our children, our pets, or anyone he could have power over.

I educated myself about both parties and finally realized my core values were Democratic. I am trying to stop the hate.”

You Never Learned Empathy

Generic Art Dad also spoke out on his YouTube channel regarding the Trump and Republican cruelty towards law-abiding immigrants.

His viewpoint is: “I think it’s because we all got punished as kids. I got soap in my mouth. I got spanked. When you punish people, you teach people it’s okay to hurt someone to try to get them to change.

If you did not grow up and realize that that’s BS, you didn’t learn empathy.

What’s happening right now is you have this cocktail where you are sad and unhappy and disappointed because you’re not happy with your station in life. You’re not happy with yourself. Things are hard. Things are tough. So you had to find someone to blame, and you were told it was the immigrants.

So, you’re like I don’t want them coming here. I want to punish them. I want to hurt them so bad that they don’t want to come here. And that makes me genuinely happy to think of them being eaten by alligators. I’m gonna’ buy merch and be loud about it. I’m gonna’ celebrate elected officials joking about it.”

Letter To MAGA From A Former Republican

Paul Lance wrote this letter, which he shared on his YouTube Channel. “Republicans just want to watch our country burn. You chose Barabbas, the insurrectionist, the criminal, the alpha male values. (Barabbas was a criminal who was chosen over Jesus by the crowd in Jerusalem to be pardoned and released by the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Jesus was delivered to the Romans for crucifixion.) Trump is your God. The Constitution is your Bible, and MAGA is your religion. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot live in both light and darkness. You cannot follow Jesus and serve an antichrist. You can’t do both, so pick a side”.

Fire And Brimstone

According to Newsweek, the United States is home to over 1,500 megachurches with weekly attendance of at least 2,000 people. Then there are the Televangelists who reach 40,000+ people every week. Some churches even reach near 100,000 in attendance per week.

After watching the YouTube videos about other people’s religious experiences, all I could think about was how many ” religions” in the United States and around the world are using their churches for financial gain, political power, and cultural control over people to only benefit the rich and the powerful.

I’ve sat through my share of Fire and Brimstone church services, but the messages were about personal choices and the consequences of sinning. They were never about hating people because of their skin color or political affiliation. Remember, I grew up in a Bible-based church.

Any religious leader who uses their pulpit authority as a “messenger of God” to preach hatred of people because of their political beliefs or any other reason is betraying God, Jesus, and the members of their church. Hypocrisy all dressed up in its Sunday best using its loudest voice.

Apparently, many MAGA Evangelical preachers missed this verse from the Bible:

Imagine the emotional impact of any church, whether it conveys messages of love or hate. I believe many of us know that “Hate One Another” was never taught or spoken by Jesus.

What Evangelicals Believe In

According to the National Association of Evangelicals:

“Conversionism: The belief that lives need to be transformed through a “born-again” experience and a lifelong process of following Jesus.

Activism: The expression and demonstration of the gospel in missionary and social reform efforts.

Biblicism: A high regard for and obedience to the Bible as the ultimate authority.

Crucicentrism: Stresses the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross as making possible the redemption of humanity.

These distinctives and theological convictions define us-not political, social or cultural trends.“

Hypocrisy often becomes the reason people stop attending a particular church.

Based on previous members who have left and are now sharing their stories on YouTube, it appears that the National Association of Evangelicals has an epidemic of MAGA churches going rogue.

*So there is no misunderstanding, the Black and other Evangelical churches do not support or preach messages of hate in their churches. I am writing specifically about the MAGA White Republican Evangelical churches.

Jesus And DEI

If you have ever read the Bible, you know that Jesus was all about helping the most vulnerable and a relentless advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). His daily life was about spiritually and physically healing people from diseases and disabilities, promoting love for one another, not hate. He passionately loved children and wanted them always to be protected from harm and hunger. He showed men how to respect and love women and treat them as equal partners in life. Jesus lived by the Ten Commandments and was true to his word. He was courageous and an empath. Every day, he proved he was the Son of God and not a false prophet.

The MAGA White Republican Evangelists do not preach or model any of the teachings of Jesus. If you want to be a Christian, you have to vote Republican. They do not live by the Evangelical Mission Statement, nor are they in service to those in need. Hypocrisy and hate carry on.

Paul Weyrich, Founder Of Christian Nationalism

“Everything can be reduced to right and wrong. Make no mistake about it. We are talking about Christianizing America.”

If you want to know about Christian Nationalism and Project 2025, watch The Handmaid’s Tale (a TV series based on Christian Nationalism) written by Margaret Atwood. Wikipedia states: “The author explores themes of powerless women in a patriarchal society, loss of female agency and individuality, suppresson of reproductive rights, and the various means by which women resist and try to gain individuality and independence”.

Watchman Decree

The Watchman Decree is a religious declaration made by some Christian leaders that emphasizes the belief that Christians have been given legal power and authority from Heaven to influence government and society according to biblical principles.

Lance Wallnau, MAGA Evangelical preacher and Televangelist, stated that you can’t take over society unless you take over the 7 Crucial Pillars.

This decree is often recited in church gatherings and events to encourage believers to take an active role in political and social matters. Notice the goal is to take over society.

Whereas: We, the Church, are God’s governing body on the earth.

Whereas: We have been given legal power from heaven and now exercise our authority.

Whereas: We are God’s ambassadors and spokespeople over the earth.

Whereas: Through the power of God, We are the world’s influencers.

Whereas: Because of our covenant with God, We are equipped and delegated by Him to destroy every attempted advance of the enemy (Liberals).

At this point in my research, I realized that Trump’s policies and the success of the MAGA White Republican Evangelicals heavily depend on one another. They both have a foundation of white victimhood, revenge, and punishment. They want to control the government, the Courts, how we worship, who we love, and our daily lives.

There is no freedom in being controlled 24/7/365 and made to feel less than. God did not create any human being to be a slave to another. When will MAGA accept and start living the teachings of Jesus?

Gay Hate

MAGA White Republican Evangelicals believe that one of the greatest sins is a marriage that is not between a man and a woman. But the affair Trump had with a porn star while his wife was pregnant, and Trump’s sexual abuse conviction are condoned. What about Trump’s connection to Epstein? What message does that send to boys and young men? Hypocrisy wins again!

According to Advocate.com, Pastor Mark Burns called for the executions of LGBTQ citizens. Pastor Dillon Awes said that two gay pastors should get the death penalty and not be preaching behind the pulpit. No love spoken there.

Let’s not forget about the Sure Foundation Baptist Church. According to Wikipedia, this church has branches in Indianapolis and the state of Washington. It is best known for its extreme anti-LGBTQ beliefs that call for the death penalty or that all homosexuals should commit suicide. Homos hate God is one of their constant messages. Arrest the protestors and kill them.

What a surprise 😉, another Bible verse the cherry pickers conveniently never preach about.

Judging Others Luke 6:37-38 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

Trump The Appointed Savior?

Donald Trump portrays himself as a religious savior. He often compares his criminal trial to the crucifixion of Jesus. Trump thinks he is a shepherd to mankind who won’t ever forsake his flock. He promotes himself as a champion against the imaginary attack on Christianity.

At rallies, he spreads lies about how the Liberals want to tear down crosses. I’ve watched him say that he hates Democrats, and the MAGA crowd cheers. He sells a version of the gospel, which is the God Bless the USA Bible. His believers chant “Christ Is King” at those events, but Trump is the blaring opposite of being a “Prince of Peace.”

I guess this is what the Prosperity Gospel is all about. How much can you fleece your flock for in the name of God and Jesus?

Promises Made, Promises Broken

In my opinion, Trump fooled the majority of Americans into thinking that he loved and cared about them and their families. They believed God saved him from assassination so he could make America great again.

MAGA trusted that he would bring down the high costs of living, such as food prices, housing, and healthcare. He would end the destruction of Ukraine by Russia on Day One. They believed Trump would address the needs of farmers, construction workers, caregivers, and many other hardworking people. They thought he would release all the Epstein Files.

Trump promised every single thing he thought his base would buy to keep himself out of jail. Most importantly, MAGA thought he would honor all the campaign promises he made that got him elected in 2024.

The one thing Trump didn’t lie about was that he would be a Dictator on Day One. I guess MAGA was okay with that because dictators are all about authoritarianism and alpha male values. That’s what they grew up in behind closed doors at home and in their MAGA White Republican Evangelical churches.

I think it is just a matter of time, especially since Trump and his administration are doing everything not to release all the Epstein Files, when his supporters will know that everything he yelled about being FAKE NEWS, A HOAX, WITCHUNT, SCAM was actually the TRUTH that he desperately tried to cover up. He is the one lying, not the Democrats or other people bringing the truth forward.

The Man Of Lawlessness

After Donald Trump’s first term and then the January 6, 2021, attack that he led on our Capitol, I stopped watching American corporate media. I was weary of the endless commentary about Trump breaking the law, norms, and traditions, and what should happen to him, but never did.

Tough Cookie Tip: I could not figure out how Trump got elected a second time until I did the research and stumbled across what was being taught in MAGA White Republican Evangelical churches. It is the opposite of loving one another. Now I know. Now you know. The lies and hate must end for the sake of our children, country, and the world’s children. We are One in our humanity and should be the shelter and support for one another.

When I was about to leave the Baptist faith, I asked the Reverend, “Why do we still have wars? Why is it so easy to hate but hard to love?” The Reverend explained that “God gives us free will. We have to decide whether to live in fear based on lies or in truth based on love.”

Who knew the greatest betrayal would come from religious organizations, the President of the United States, the Republican Party, and some Democrats, and the Republican justices on the Supreme Court?
