How To Stop A Dictator
I call what is illegally happening now to our democracy the Betrayal of America.
I remember seeing Donald Trump saying that he was saved by God to Make America Great Again. How I wanted to believe he was a changed man because of being shot and almost killed. I guess his definition of God and great are different than mine.
To save our Democracy, it is crucial to understand why Americans elected Donald Trump for a second term and how to stop a Dictator. History shows that once Dictators seize power, the government becomes weaponized against the people.
That is precisely what Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the Alpha Geeks are doing, disguised as cutting waste and fraud. The $10.7 million worth of Trump golf outings paid for by the American taxpayers in about a month apparently flew under their radar. Most likely, the expense will recur most weekends while Donald Trump is in office.
The attempted Coup #1 in 2020 failed, but four years later, using lessons learned, Coup #2 is upon US.
My last post, Betrayal Trauma, focused on personal or professional betrayals but hinted at how political candidates and parties can also betray the people when they take an oath with their hand on the Bible to protect and serve the Constitution of the United States.
Both The Republicans And The Democrats Have Betrayed We The People.
For full disclosure, half of my voting life has been as a registered Republican, and the other half has been as a registered Democrat. Currently, I do not fully align with either major party because of the cowardice of the leadership on both sides.
What won’t change is that I have never been good with injustice and will always be pro-human rights.
Although I have the greatest respect for Joe Biden and Merrick Garland for their years of civil service and as President and Attorney General, they had a blaring responsibility to stand up and do the courageous thing for our Democracy after Donald Trump directed the January 6, 2021, attack on our Capitol. We all saw him do it and watched the violence in disbelief and in real-time. The most unexpected Betrayal of America in our nation’s history.
Let’s be real. If a Democratic President would have led an attack like that, the Republicans would have arrested that person immediately.
I believe the Democratic leadership’s failure to be strong and hold Donald Trump accountable for the Insurrection and the attempted Coup was the beginning of the downfall of the Democratic Party to win in 2024.
At this writing, Donald Trump has only been in office for a short while, and look at the damage he has been able to already do. In my opinion, I believe AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost, and many other spitfire advocates should lead the way. The old-school way of thinking, which is that you can reason with “your colleagues across the aisle,” does not work anymore. Evil has no honor and does not obey the laws!
So, the Democrats won’t save us. That’s another Betrayal of America.
The 14th Amendment Article 3
The United States Constitution states: “No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such liability.
The Conservative Supreme Court Justices
The mostly Trump-appointed Conservative Justices applied their biased way of interpreting the clear language of the 14th Amendment Article 3 since they, like Trump, don’t think they should be held accountable in any way. In large part for what is now happening to Americans, those Conservative justices are part of the cause. RULES FOR THEE BUT NOT FOR ME.
The corruption of certain Supreme Court Justices is well documented. Watch Senator Sheldon Whitehouse’s videos on YouTube for all the details.
The Court system and the Presiding Judges then allowed Donald Trump to delay, delay, and delay numerous lawsuits until after the election, even though he was threatening judges and their family members and other people. Talk about knowing how to work the system!
So why should Donald Trump fear the law? NO JAIL TIME, NO RESPECT FOR THE LAW.
The Supreme Court and the other courts won’t save us. Americans have been told forever that no one is above the law, not even the President. This level of betrayal may never heal.
At this point, Congress proved it has no collective courage. The Party of Chaos, Cruelty, and Cash Over People, once the Grand Old Party of Lincoln, proves every day what greed and cowards look like.
Don’t Say Voter Suppression, White Supremacist, Tax Evader, or Convicted Felon Sexual Abuser!
The Cost And Consequences Of Elections
Whether you live in an urban or rural area, the trust in either party for many has been completely broken, and that’s probably why 88,330,197 Americans who were eligible to vote did not vote in 2024.
In the 2020 Election, $14.4 Billion was spent on federal elections, the most expensive cycle in US history.
As we found out in 2024, with Donald Trump getting elected by being funded by Elon Musk, his Billionaire Buddies, corporations, and special interest groups, cash has hijacked the democratic process. $21 billion was spent, which beat the 2020 total.
Politics seems like all theatre performances now. Savvy, honorable politicians would be wise to note that people consume news differently in the 21st Century and are turning to progressive independent media.
Once An Advocate, Always An Advocate
People should pay more attention to writers. We spend most of our time on earth studying human nature, researching, and always trying to figure out the whys.

Hitler’s Favorite Book
A book written in 1895 has the reputation of being the most dangerous book in the world. The theme is Mass Manipulation.
There are seven rules to secure mass manipulation.
Mass Manipulation Rule Number 1: CROWDS
The collective mind is purely emotional. Crowds are controlled through misinformation, fear, anger, and excitement. Speech is geared to promote emotions instead of common sense and critical thinking. Nothing spreads faster than strong emotions.
Mass Manipulation Rule Number 2: REPETITION
Repeating the same words without proof or evidence over and over is the surest way of making an idea stick in the mind of crowds. The repetition hardwires the words into their collective minds.
Mass Manipulation Rule Number 3: VISUAL SYMBOLS
Visual symbols overpower words. Crowds are visually impressed by symbols and images. What they see and experience with the crowd is what they believe and feel a part of.
Mass Manipulation Rule Number 4: REPUTATION
Reputation prevents crowds from questioning and seeing things as they are. It silences doubt and independent thinking. Reputation also blinds the crowd to the truth.
Mass Manipulation Rule Number 5: MIND CONTROL
Leaders direct and mold the crowd’s will. They become one in the same because the leader stands for the crowd’s emotions, desires, energy, and community.
Mass Manipulation Rule Number 6: ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY
Masses like simple black and white ideas presented with total conviction. Crowds glorify ideas that are absolute and uncompromising. Complexity weakens influence.
Mass Manipulation Rule Number 7: ILLUSIONS
Illusions seduce crowds more than truths. Crowds are captured by the words and ideas they want to hear. People turn away from evidence that does not align with what they want to believe. A persuasive illusion will always win over uncomfortable truths. “Only I can fix it.” “I am the Chosen One.”

“I Will Be A Dictator On Day One”
Donald Trump did say he would be a Dictator on Day One, even though Americans elect Presidents, not Kings. What a deal, Convicted Felon and a Dictator.
John Kelly, the retired Marine General, worked for Donald Trump from 2017 to 2019. He stated that Trump said Nazi Leader Adolf Hitler “did some good things.” Kelly also recalled that Trump raised the idea of “needing German Generals.”
Dictatorship is a form of government in which one person or a small group seizes absolute power of a country because they systematically test the rule of law and the court system by continually breaking the law and getting away with it. Dictators surround themselves with Yes Men. So does Fascism.
During his first presidency, Donald Trump praised Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan. All four are authoritarian rulers. Since when have those four leaders been an ally of the United States? Shouldn’t that have been Mega Clue #1?
Democracy depends on a free press. Trump constantly whines about the truth being reported about him as Fake News even though he loses the majority of lawsuits brought against him. Mega Clue #2.
Some American Democracy Basics
American Taxpayers fund the government. The tax money does not belong to either party. It is We The People’s Money, and we expect a fair return. We are the bosses, and We have the real power to decide what is best for America.
Since 1787, the year the Constitution was formally signed, America has been a Democracy. We The People vote and elect the Congress.
In 2025, Congress is made up of 45 Democratic Senators, 53 Republican Senators, and 2 Independent Senators. In the House of Representatives, there are 215 Democrats, 218 Republicans, and, at this writing, 2 Vacancies in the House.
There are three separate branches of US government: the legislative, executive, and judicial. These are the checks and balances also known as guardrails to protect our Democracy so no one branch can take the power away from the other.
Then Congress writes the laws. The President is responsible for protecting Americans, executing the laws, appointing officials, and promoting foreign policy and diplomatic representation.
The courts are responsible for applying the laws without fear or favor when conflicts arise. Citizens are hired into various civil service positions to work on behalf of the American people and to implement the laws Congress passed.
Federal Civil Servant Pay
In 2025, the average annual pay for a federal employee civil servant is $82,675 per year. Members of Congress are paid $174,000 per year. Senate Majority and Minority Leaders, President Pro Tempore are paid $193,400 per year. Speaker of the House is paid $223,500 per year.
The President makes $400,000 annually plus $50,000 expenses allowance, $100,000 non-taxable travel expenses, $19,000 for entertainment. The Vice President makes $235,100.
Now For The Good News
To President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Billionaire Buddies, and Cowardly Lyin Party:
We The 99% People have 238 years invested in the fight for freedom for all and will continue for as long as it takes.
To the 1%, because of your cruelty and lies, you are outnumbered as you are beginning to see friends and neighbors finally coming together that were once divided.
We The People make the wealthy, and we can unmake the wealthy with the power of our pocketbooks.
The most important things Americans cherish are freedom and their family’s security and success, where their children and grandchildren can live in safe neighborhoods, have safe schools and a quality education, good healthcare, and opportunities to make a decent living.
Do you really think Americans are going to let you dishonor human beings of every culture who fought for liberty and justice just for all so you can become wealthier and take our freedom and dignity away?
How would you feel if your family was treated the way you are devastating other families who have worked hard for what they have?
By the way, how does cruelty and deception honor God?
